Individual psychology appointments are available for children, adolescents and adults.
You do not need a referral to make an appointment with KMV Psychology. However, a referral may allow you to claim a Medicare rebate.
Medicare Rebates
Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)
50-minute consultation
Eligible clients can access Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year. Your GP can discuss whether a Mental Health Treatment Plan is appropriate for you. MHCP and referral are required to be on file in order to process rebates.
Appointment Fee: $250
Medicare Rebate: $101.55
Out-of-pocket Cost: $148.45
Payment
Payment is required at the time of your appointment.
We encourage clients to securely provide card details during registration to make payment simple and convenient, particularly for telehealth appointments or where another person, such as a parent or caregiver, is responsible for payment.
Where applicable, Medicare rebates are processed following payment.
Cancellations
We understand that sometimes plans change.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice.
Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, or appointments that are not attended, may incur a cancellation fee.
Medicare rebates cannot be claimed for cancellation or non-attendance fees.
